Going by news reports, you might be inclined to think that only Delhi / NCR is suffering from very poor air quality. However, the problem is much larger.
The Central Pollution Control Board publishes a daily Air Quality Index of major cities in India. If you click here, you will discover that a lot of cities in India have poor quality of air – Just because it’s not visible does not mean it does not exist.
Hence the need for a pan India Right To Clean Air Act becomes all the more important so that quality of air can improve all across the country instead of just Delhi NCR.
